Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease an 8-inch baking dish.
- Mix flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon together in a bowl.
- Add milk to dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
- Gently fold in sliced peaches.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.
- In a saucepan, combine water, granulated sugar, brown sugar, butter, and nutmeg; bring to a boil.
- Pour syrup over the batter in the baking dish.
- Bake for 40-50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Use ripe peaches for best flavor or frozen peaches if fresh aren’t available.
Boiling the syrup is essential for flavor enhancement.
Allow pudding to cool for a few minutes before serving.
