Spicy Guacamole

Spicy guacamole is a creamy, zesty dip that’s perfect for sharing. It’s easy to make and customizable to your spice preference, making it a crowd favorite.

Ingredients

  • 3 large avocados
  • 3 tablespoons lime juice, freshly squeezed from 1 1/2 limes
  • 1 medium tomato, seeded and diced
  • 1/2 white onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup cilantro, from 1/2 bunch
  • 2 serrano peppers, finely chopped (or use jalapeños for milder guac)
  • 2 cloves garlic, pressed
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt, or to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper, or to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

Instructions

  • Cut avocados in half, remove seeds, and scoop flesh into a bowl.
  • Mash avocados to desired consistency.
  • Squeeze lime juice over the mashed avocados.
  • Finely chop onion and add to the bowl.
  • Remove seeds from peppers, chop them, and add to the mix.
  • Dice tomato and add it, then mix in pressed garlic.
  • Chop cilantro, add to the mix, and season with cumin, black pepper, and sea salt.
  • Mix all ingredients until well combined and serve immediately.

Notes

Choose ripe avocados for best flavor and texture.
Adjust spice level by using fewer peppers or switching to jalapeños.
