- 3 large avocados
- 3 tablespoons lime juice, freshly squeezed from 1 1/2 limes
- 1 medium tomato, seeded and diced
- 1/2 white onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup cilantro, from 1/2 bunch
- 2 serrano peppers, finely chopped (or use jalapeños for milder guac)
- 2 cloves garlic, pressed
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt, or to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper, or to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
Instructions
- Cut avocados in half, remove seeds, and scoop flesh into a bowl.
- Mash avocados to desired consistency.
- Squeeze lime juice over the mashed avocados.
- Finely chop onion and add to the bowl.
- Remove seeds from peppers, chop them, and add to the mix.
- Dice tomato and add it, then mix in pressed garlic.
- Chop cilantro, add to the mix, and season with cumin, black pepper, and sea salt.
- Mix all ingredients until well combined and serve immediately.
Notes
Choose ripe avocados for best flavor and texture.
Adjust spice level by using fewer peppers or switching to jalapeños.
