- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (for frying)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 small onion, thinly sliced
- 1 cup beef broth (Halal, alcohol-free)
- ½ cup water
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce (Halal-certified)
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce (Halal-friendly)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Combine ground beef, onion, garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Form the mixture into 4-6 patties.
- Cook patties in olive oil in a skillet over medium heat for 4-5 minutes on each side.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté sliced onion until caramelized.
- Stir in beef broth, water, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Thicken gravy with a flour slurry; simmer until desired consistency.
- Return patties to gravy; cover and simmer for 10-15 minutes.
- Serve with additional gravy.
Notes
Use 80% lean ground beef for juicy patties.
Avoid overmixing the ground beef mixture for tender patties.
Allow the gravy to simmer longer for a richer flavor.
