  • 8-ounce can tomato sauce
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 15 ounces ricotta or cottage cheese
  • 8 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/3 cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 16 ounces spaghetti (cooked according to package directions)
  • 1/4 cup butter (cut into thin slices)
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese (shredded)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and coat a 9'x13' baking dish with cooking spray.
  • In a large pan, heat olive oil and cook ground beef and Italian sausage, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  • Add onion and cook until tender, then stir in garlic followed by marinara and tomato sauce.
  • In a separate bowl, mix ricotta, cream cheese, Parmesan, and seasonings until creamy.
  • Combine cooked spaghetti with meat sauce and layer in the baking dish, alternating with cheese mixture.
  • Dot with butter, top with mozzarella, cover with foil, and bake for 20 minutes, then uncover and bake an additional 15-20 minutes.
