German Chocolate Poke Cake

  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 ½ cups shredded coconut
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 ½ cups whipped topping (Cool Whip)
  • ½ cup chocolate syrup

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • Mix chocolate cake mix, milk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla in a large bowl until smooth.
  • Pour batter into the baking dish and bake for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Poke holes in the cooled cake to allow filling to soak in.
  • Combine sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and caramel sauce; pour over the holes in the cake.
  • Cool the cake completely for about an hour.
  • Spread whipped topping over the cake, then sprinkle with coconut and pecans.
  • Drizzle chocolate syrup on top before serving.

Notes

Cool the cake completely before adding the filling to keep topping intact.
Toasted pecans can enhance the flavor.
Adjust coconut according to preference; it can be omitted if desired.
