- 1 container (4.4 oz / 125 g) plain yogurt
- 2 containers (7 oz / 200 g) sugar
- 3 containers (6.3 oz / 180 g) all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 container (4 fl. oz / 120 ml) vegetable oil (neutral taste)
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract or lemon zest (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a 9-inch springform pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together yogurt, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, and oil until creamy.
- Rinse and dry the yogurt container for measuring the flour and baking powder.
- Combine the dry ingredients with the yogurt mixture until just mixed.
- Pour the batter into the pan and bake for about 35 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
- Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack.
Notes
Ensure ingredients are at room temperature for best mixing results.
Avoid opening the oven during the first 25 minutes of baking.
