- 1 cup Coca-Cola
- 1/2 cup buttermilk

- 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups miniature marshmallows
- 1/2 cup butter (for the icing)
- 3 tablespoons cocoa powder (for the icing)
- 6 tablespoons Coca-Cola (for the icing)
- 16-ounce package of confectioners’ sugar (sifted)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for the icing)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch pan.
- Sift together flour and sugar in a large mixing bowl.
- Combine butter, cocoa powder, and Coca-Cola in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
- Pour the boiling mixture over the flour and sugar, then mix in buttermilk, baking soda, eggs, vanilla, and marshmallows.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes.
- Prepare icing by heating butter, cocoa powder, and Coca-Cola in a saucepan until boiling.
- Mix in confectioners’ sugar and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Poke holes in the hot cake and drizzle the icing over the top.
Notes
Use room temperature ingredients for the best results.
Incorporate marshmallows for added texture and sweetness.
Cool the cake for at least 10 minutes before icing to prevent melting.
