- 1 ½ cups buttermilk
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
- Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl.
- Whisk buttermilk, egg, and melted butter in another bowl.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients; let rest for 5 minutes.
- Preheat a skillet and grease it.
- Pour batter onto skillet and cook until bubbles form; flip and cook until golden.
- Serve warm with butter and syrup.
Notes
Use fresh baking powder and baking soda for better rise.
Do not overmix; lumps are acceptable for texture.
For thicker pancakes, allow the batter to rest longer.
